‘ANEMONIES IN A GLASS JAR’ By Christopher Wood (1925)
Firework bidding at Sotheby’s London this week saw Christopher Wood’s Anenomes in a Glass Jar sell to the Richard Green Gallery in Mayfair for a record price of £392,750. Dramatically higher than it’s estimated price of £70,00-£100,000, the painting was bought in the Eighties for £3800 by Crane Kalman.
