CHRISTIES LONDON TO SELL WORKS FROM THREE CENTURIES OF BRITISH ART – THURSDAY 30TH JUNE 2016
Art Lovers will need deep pockets indeed if they are to afford these three exceptionally fine paintings by three of British Greatest, spanning an incredible THREE CENTURIES.
One of the paintings on offer is Lucian Freud’s 1992 ‘IB AND HER HUSBAND’. The painting depicting an intimate moment shared between Freud’s daughter Ib (Isobel Boyt), and her partner Pat Costelloe, has been valued at £18 million – twice as much as the £.3 million it fetched when last sold in 2007.
